BAKER COUNTY, Fla. -

The Baker County community came together Friday night to pay their respects to Jordan Sommise, the 14-year-old who was killed in a car accident last Saturday.

Friends and family clung to each other Friday night and to the memory of the one they've lost. Just like Jordan Sommise, the crowd that came to mourn her are much too young to have to endure a tragedy like this.

"I got really close with her, hadn't seen her in a while and I woke up and she's gone," said Theresa Roushey.

Sommise was in the car with two other teenagers. Corey Craig, a 17-year-old who was also in the truck at the time of the accident, is paralyzed from the waist down. The entire community is hurting from this tragedy.

"A lot of emotion, a lot of grief, lot of tears," said Ray Joiner.

And all of them loved Jordan. Friends and family told Channel 4 Friday night that the teenager touched the lives of many and was active in her church youth group. In place of flowers, the teen's family is asking that donations be sent to the youth group to which Jordan dedicated so much of her time and heart.

Jordan Sommise's funeral will be held on Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Glen St. Mary.
