After a day and a half of trial, a jury deliberated for just less than 30 minutes Tuesday before finding William Leonard guilty of trafficking in oxycodone, a first degree felony.
The 31-year-old is a defendant from the "Dirty 30" Operation conducted by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Tri-County Task Force and the Palatka Police Department. The arrests were made in June 2011.
On Sept. 10, 2010, Leonard sold 110 Roxicodone pills for $1,600 to a confidential source. Roxicodone is a brand of Oxycodone.
The trafficking charge carries a minimum mandatory of three years and up to a maximum of 30 years in prison.
If the defendant is declared a habitual felony offender and sentenced as such, he faces a maximum of life in prison.
A sentencing hearing will be scheduled at a later date.
