JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

It looks like the City Council has reached a compromise on the mobility fee.

The controversial plan would have developers paying more for streets and other amenities in neighborhoods.

There was a plan in place to waive the fee for another three years.

Now it could be waived for 18 months and gradually be implemented.

A special meeting has been called for 4 p.m. Monday with various council committees to take up the measure.

It could be voted on Tuesday during the regular council meeting.
