Creators from around the world coming to Jacksonville for five days for "One Spark"
Creativity-based event backed financially by Jaguars owner Shad Khan
For five days in April, creators from all over the world will come to Jacksonville for the One Spark festival.
"It's a chance for artists to showcase their talents in the areas of art, music, science and technology" said Elton Rivas, co-founder and executive director of One Spark.
Anyone who has a unique talent, idea, invention will have the opportunity to reach thousands of people.
"The plan for the festival is to match downtown venues with artists and inventors" said Rivas.
One Spark is also being called The World's Crowdfunding Festival.
Downtown visitors will be able to view and vote on the entrants, with $250,000 in prize money going to the crowd favorites.
On Wednesday, Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan announced that he would offer up to $1 million in capital investment focused on creators who participate.
"This is the first event of it's kind and if you want to reach hundreds of thousands of opinion drivers this event is for you." said Rivas.
One Spark will kick off downtown, covering more than than a one mile area.
Venues will include 121 Atlantic Place, 1904 Music Hall, The Bank of America Tower, BB&T Tower and Big Pete's.

"This is the first event of it's kind in Jacksonville, and after it's success we may take it to other cities" said Rivas.
