Police say a worker setting up a fireworks show at the Dade City Fairgrounds has been injured and the show postponed.
The Pasco Sheriff's Office says the 49-year-old man was hurt when a mortar went off right after it cleared the launch tube and blew up. The man was burned and had shrapnel wounds to his face and hands but authorities say they didn't appear life-threatening.
The fire marshal and Pasco Fire Rescue will be conducting the investigation.
The fireworks show is expected to be put on Thursday evening.
