child's name. 3 3 It's a marathon to raise money and awareness for some children who have been battling illnesses for ALL their lives. Starting today - students at UNF will be dancing for 17 HOURS and six minutes. That number represents the 17 million children who are treated each year in Children's Miracle Network -- six minutes has been added to celebrate the event's SIXTH year at UNF. Joining me now with more on the event is Elisabeth Ward, the Community Development Coordinator for Chidlren's Miracle Network - Karly Hirst, the Dance marathon chair at UNF - and two of this year's participants! 3 This marathon starts today at 4 and it will go until 9:06 tomorrow morning. Money raised will be used to buy medical equipment, child life resources and educational materials for the pediatric departments at Wolfson Children's Hospital and UF Health Jacksonville.
