OCALA, Fla. -

Marion County deputies are trying to figure out why a man who had recently been released from prison shot and killed two women the two women who raised him and injured a third woman Sunday morning.

Deputies said Azael Stevens was arrested after he was found driving the car of one of the victims.

Deputies said a 911 call came in around 1:49 a.m. Sunday about a shooting in the Marion Oaks subdivison.

When deputies arrived at the house located at 15670 SW 19th Avenue Road, in Ocala, they found Stevens' grandmother and great-grandmother were shot to death, authorities said.

The third woman shot, 47-year-old Jacqueline Gonzalez, was taken to Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

The Ocala Star-Banner reported Stevens had been raised by his grandmother and great-grandmother.

Witnesses alerted deputies of a suspect who was driving Gonzalez's car on State Road 200, deputies said.

Deputies said Stevens faces multiple charges including felony murder and grand theft auto.
