A Columbia County man was arrested Saturday after deputies said he tried to stab his two adult sons.
Deputies said 54-year-old Christopher Graham initially told them he was attacked by two unknown people just after 5 a.m. at a home on Southwest Santos Terrace.
Graham had a head injury and was bleeding. He was taken to a hospital.
Deputies said they were able to determine that Graham was not attacked by two unknown people as he said.
They said he was intoxicated and confronted one his sons in the front yard of the home. Deputies said Graham tried to strike his adult son with a lawn chair and then pulled out a pocketknife and tried to stab his son.
The son was able to get away from his father, deputies said.
They said Graham's other adult son saw the commotion and tried to get in between his father and brother. Graham attacked the second son with the knife and slashed him across the forehead, cheek and chest, deputies said.
Both sons were able to pin Graham on the ground outside of the home, deputies said.
Graham's sons refused medical treatment.
Graham was arrested at the hospital and booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility on charges of aggravated battery, aggravated assault, battery, assault, and making a false report to law enforcement.
He we being held with bail set at $72,000.
