A deadly drama at a Putnam County convenience store... A man steps to stop an armed robbery ... and stabs the accused bandit to death. That's the father of the man who's now being called a hero for taking on a suspected robber with his pocket knife. Now, police are investigating to find out exactly happened inside the store. It's a Kangaroo gas station on County Road 309 in Fruitland ... just west of Crescent City. The Putnam County Sheriff's office says this is the robber, 41-year old Jeffrey Lohman. They say he threatened a clerk with a box cutter. Both Lohman's family and the family of the hero spoke with Channel 4's Ashley Harding who is joining us now live from the store. He wasn't in his right mind, he was on the drugs! You know, my mission now is to get these drugs off the street." TRACK In the meantime, no charges have been filed against Anthony Shebester. His father tells us his son is still very shaken by what's happened.
