A 35-year-old St. Johns County man was arrested Wednesday morning on charges of possession of more than 20 grams of cannabis with intent to sell, cultivation of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said they searched the home of Matthew Lanier after they received information that he was growing marijuana inside.
Detectives served the search warrant about 7:30 a.m. at the home in the 1100 block of Ardmore Street.
Investigators said they seized 133 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, several pre-packaged bags of cannabis, along with several items of drug paraphernalia. They said the substances tested positive for cannabis.
Lanier was arrested and booked into the St. Johns County jail. He was released after posting $10,500 bond late Wednesday afternoon.
