Flagler County Sheriff's deputies said a Palm Coast convenience store clerk found counterfeit money in the cash register.
Deputies responded to a Kangaroo Convenience Store on east State Road 100 Thursday in response to a report of fake money being used for purchases.
Deputies said the store clerk spotted what appeared to be two fake $20 bills as she was counting a register drawer. Deputies said the bills were tested using a counterfeit detector pen and the currency appeared to be fake. The two bills also had the same serial number indicating they were not genuine currency.
