New details were released Monday after two men were arrested following a shooting and a police chase in Lake City on Friday night.
La'Quanza Gee, 28, of Live Oak, and Leonard Goodman, 32, of Jacksonville, were both arrested late Friday.
Four men -- Gee, Goodman, Carlos Lamar Williams, and Tarvares Livingston -- were at Horace Powell's unit in the Wayne Drive Apartments about 6:30 p.m.
After Gee and Goodman arrived, an argument began and gunfire erupted, said police.
Livingston, 30, was shot in the eyebrow. His condition was not immediately released.
Powell suffered injuries after being pistol whipped to the back of the head.
Williams, 31, was transported to the hospital from the scene, but later died due to his gunshot wounds.
Following the shooting, Gee and Goodman ran to the neighboring complex, Greentree Apartments, where they carjacked a person at gunpoint and sped away.
An officer took off after Gee and Goodman, following them through Lake City at about 40 mph until they reached the city limits, when Columbia County deputies joined the pursuit.
When the car turned off Old Country Club Road onto Southeast Lanvale Street, the deputies managed to run Gee and Goodman off the road and into a fence.
They were not injured in the crash and taken into custody.
Police said they discovered a bag of cocaine with an estimated value of $20,000 in the car.
Gee was charged with homicide, armed robbery, trafficking cocaine with a firearm, aggravated battery and discharging a firearm in public.
Goodman was charged with homicide, armed robbery, trafficking cocaine with a firearm, aggravated battery, flee and elude, and discharging a firearm in public.
Police said the Florida Department of Law Enforcement was assisting in the investigation.
