Downtown street reopens after water main break

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

One of downtown Jacksonville's main intersections has reopened just in time for game day after a closure due to a water main break on Saturday.

Parts of East Bay Street and South Main Street were under water Saturday afternoon and evening as JEA crews worked to fix a pipe that broke.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Officers diverted traffic from Bay Street, Ocean Street, Main Street and the Main Street Bridge in other directions.
