Driver Dies After Having Medical Emergency

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A 77-year-old driver had a medical emergency while driving late Tuesday afternoon and later died at a hospital, Jacksonville police said.

Police said Thomas Hall was heading east on Atlantic Boulevard at Arlington Road at a slow speed and had a medical emergency. Police said Hall ran a red light, striking another vehicle at the intersection.

The car came to a stop against a fence at a Popeyes drive-through.

Hall was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.
