BALDWIN, Fla. -

It may not be the $640 Mega Million jackpot amount, but a woman from Duval County didn't make out too poorly when she won $500,000 from a scratch-off game.

The Florida Lottery said Kathaleen Murphy, 49, of Baldwin, bought her winning Gold Rush Tripler ticket at the Baldwin Kwik Mart at 89 U.S. Highway 301 North. Murphy said she bought her ticket there because her husband bought winning tickets there in the previous weeks.

"He's the lucky one," she said. "Robert won a $1,000 Scratch-Off prize last week and a $500 prize the week before that."

Robert Murphy's luck continued while in Tallahassee, where his wife claimed her half-million dollar prize. He bought a Scratch-Off ticket from the Lottery's district office and won another $100.
