Edward Waters College announced Wednesday its 12-month sanction with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges was lifted.
During the past 12 months, EWC was credited with improving faculty adequacy and providing more comprehensive documentation on its program outcomes and quality enhancement plan. A report outlining the changes was submitted for SACS to review in September.
“From the beginning, we were confident that the issues could be properly addressed in the appropriate time frame,” said EWC President Nat Glover. “Now, we are poised to continue enhancing our programs and campus environment as we enter the new year.”
EWC will be considered for reaffirmation in 2015.
