The FBI is asking the public to help identify a man investigators say held up at least three banks in northeast Florida over a three-day period at the beginning of this month.
The robbery hit the Bank of America at 10445 San Jose Boulevard in Jacksonville and the Wells Fargo on County Road 210 in St. Johns County on May 1. Two days later, authorities believe the same man hit the Wells Fargo on Ridgewood Avenue in Volusia County.
In all three cases, the robber gave the teller a note claiming he had a gun and demanding money. After obtaining money, he left the banks on foot.
The FBI describes him as a white man in his 20s or 30s with short blond hair and a brown goatee. He's between 5 feet 8 and 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build.
Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 904-248-7000 or their local law enforcement agency.
