JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

When it comes to the Florida-Georgia rivalry, you can throw out all the records and off-field distractions.

While both teams have had losing skids in the first half of the 2011 season as a result of stiff competition, nothing will stop Gators or Bulldogs fans from converging on the River City for one of Jacksonville's oldest traditions.

The Gators (4-3, 2-3 Southeastern Conference) are coming off a bye after losing to Auburn the previous week, their third straight loss. Florida lost back-to-back games to top five teams Alabama and LSU earlier this month and have been dealing with the loss of senior quarterback John Brantley.

Meanwhile, Georgia (5-2, 4-1 SEC) has won five straight since dropping its first two games to Boise State and South Carolina. The Bulldogs are also coming to Jacksonville off a bye week and looking to end a three-year losing streak to the Gators.

The winner of Saturday's game will remain in the hunt for the SEC East Division title.
