The Florida Supreme Court says an Ocala judge will be reprimanded for habitual tardiness.
The justices on Thursday ordered Circuit Judge William Singbush to appear before the high court for his reprimand but did not immediately set a date.
Singbush in April signed a stipulation agreeing to the penalty recommended by an investigative panel.
The Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission panel, though, agreed that Singbush should not be penalized for making an intemperate religious comment in court because it was an isolated incident.
Singbush had referred to a mistake he made in a lawsuit over an airport used by actor John Travolta by saying he knew of only one perfect person "and for that we murdered him," a reference to Jesus Christ.
