The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says leafy greens like kale and spinach are to blame for most foodborne illnesses in the U.S.
Researchers studied data over a 10 year period.
They found that out of nearly 10 million annual illnesses, more than half were blamed on plant commodities like fruits and vegetables.
Twenty-two percent of those sicknesses were caused by leafy greens.
The CDC says illnesses associated with leafy vegetables were the second most frequent cause of hospitalizations and the fifth most frequent cause of death.
The leading cause of death by food is from poultry.
The CDC says we shouldn't worry.
The actual number of illnesses or deaths isn't large and most meals are safe.
