JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Students at one elementary school on the Westside took part in a very special P.E. class Tuesday morning with a pretty famous teacher.

Jaguars quarterback David Garrard was at Timucuan Elementary School as part of Take a Player to School Day.

Garrard picked up third-grader John Fitzgerald II at his home in a limo.

Fitzgerald won a contest, earning him the experience.

The Jaguars quarterback talked with students about the importance of good health, good nutrition and physical fitness.

Garrard then led the "NFL Ultimate P.E. Class" as students stretched, ran, worked with exercise balls and more.

"I know when I grew up I didn't see any NFL players, so to be able to come out to the school and talk to the kids, talk about exercise, talk about Play 60, which is a great thing the NFL is doing," Garrard said.

Play 60 is an NFL campaign encouraging children to get 60 minutes of exercise a day.

Garrard also talked with the students about the importance of a good education. And of course he posed for photos with them.
