Gas leak briefly blocks traffic at Atlantic Beach

ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. -

Firefighters have responded to a gas leak on Atlantic Boulevard near the intersection of Mayport Road on Friday morning, resulting in a temporary closure of the westbound lanes of traffic.

The Atlantic Beach Police Department said a construction accident caused the leak, but it was capped and all lanes were reopened before 11 a.m.
