SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. -

The wife of George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watchman facing a second-degree murder charge after he shot and killed Trayvon Martin, has been charged with perjury.

Seminole County deputies arrested Shellie Zimmerman at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

She was charged with one count of perjury.

Her bond was set at $1,000. At about 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, she posted bond and was released.

Shellie Zimmerman, 25, is accused of lying to a judge about her and her husband's financial status during a bond hearing for George Zimmerman.

George Zimmerman was booked back into jail earlier this month after his bond was revoked.
