Home Invasion Suspects Shot, 1 Dies
Published On: Oct 14 2011 02:30:43 PM EDT Updated On: Sep 03 2007 09:05:10 AM EDTTwo armed men who broke into a Brunswick home about 1:30 a.m. Monday and were attempting to rob the people inside were shot by one of the potential victims, according to the Brunswick Police Department.
Officers responding to a 911 call at a home on Wolfe Street found an 18-year-old man on the front porch with a gunshot wound to the abdomen and a second man found inside with a gunshot wound on his side.
The man inside was pronounced dead at the scene. The 18-year-old suspect was transported to Southeast Georgia Health System's Brunswick hospital and will face charges.
The names of the two men and charges against the surviving suspect were not released on Monday.
Police said none of the 11 people in the home at the time of the invasion were injured.
