Authorities evicted the homeless people who were living underneath a bridge in downtown Athens.
One week ago a fire destroyed the camp site and damaged the bridge.
Officials put up no-trespassing signs on the North Avenue Bridge where it crosses the North Oconee River.
Athens-Clarke County Manager Alan Reddish said that police set up more patrols of the area to keep people out. A fence is going up around the former camp also.
Police charged Carole Childrers-Queen, 43, with arson. Authorities said that she set a boot on fire and threw it beneath the bridge after an argument with another homeless person.
