Hundreds Honor Boy Killed By Pellet Gun
Mitchell 'DJ' Maxwell Jr. Laid To Rest
A young boy who died from injuries in a pellet gun shooting was laid to rest on Saturday.
Hundreds of family members and friends filled the Power House of Faith Church to say goodbye.
Mitchell 'DJ' Maxwell Junior, 11, was at a sleepover at his coach's house in Waycross Nov. 20 when he was shot and killed by a pellet gun.
"I guess they were playing around with the gun I lost him to really a toy. It's senseless and I want parents to understand they need to make sure they're not playing with things if so they're supervised," his mother Felecia Thomas told Channel 4 two days after his death.
The case remains under investigation.
