Deputies in Putnam County are investigating after a 34-year-old man was found shot and later died Monday morning in Palatka.
Investigators were called to Hudson Street behind the Palatka Mall, where they found Jim Curry III with a gunshot wound.
Deputies said he was shot sometime between 6 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.
Curry was taken to Putnam Community Medical Center, where he died.
Investigators are asking the public for their cooperation by reporting any information they may have regarding the killing.
Anyone who may have seen Curry riding his bicycle Monday morning near the mall is asked to call Detective Andrew Snyder or Detective Nicole Thomas at 386-329-0801.
