Jacksonville police officers missed a gun on a suspect after putting him in the back of a police cruiser.

Police arrested Quentano Dennis on an out of state warrant after stopping a car driven by Donald Burton in Northwest Jacksonville.

Officers said they found a bag of marijuana in the trunk.

Burton then told the officers the gun wasn't his, but police hadn't found a gun.

After moving Dennis into the back of the police cruiser, officers heard him moving around in the backseat.

A handgun was then found on the floor, officers said.
