JTB in Jax Beach reopens 2 hours after single car wreck

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -

The eastbound lanes of J. Turner Butler Boulevard reopened about 3:30 p.m., more than two hours after they was shut down due to a single-car wreck between San Pablo Road and Marsh Landing Parkway.

According to the Jacksonville Beach Police Department, the crash may have resulted from a medical condition.  The occupant of the car was hospitalized, but the person's condition or identity were not immediately known.

The accident happened about 1 p.m.  Channel 4 was told eastbound backups extended past Hodges Boulevard.
