A competency review hearing for a murder suspect accused of killing a Jacksonville Beach firefighter resulted in a finding that he is still not competent for prosecution.
Charles Pearce is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Mike McCue in February 2011. He's also charged with attempted murder of his father-in-law.
Pearce has been remanded to the custody of a Department of Children and Famlies-run psychiatric care facility for treatment.
His next competency review will be in August.
