Jacksonville Man Dies In Northside Crash

FHP: 30-Year-Old's Vehicle Flipped Several Times

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A Jacksonville man was killed and another person was critically injured when the pickup truck they were riding in overturned several times about 6:15 Sunday morning.

According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the two were driving down Heckscher Drive near Somer Road when the driver lost control of a Nissan pickup truck. The vehicle flipped several times after veering across all lanes of traffic.

David Worrell, 30, of Jacksonville, died at the scene, according to the report. The truck's driver, whose identity was not immediately known, was taken to Shands Hospital in critical condition.

Worrell was not wearing a seat belt.

The Florida Highway Patrol was still investigating the crash Sunday afternoon.
