Police in Jacksonville say a 26-year-old man who walked off from an assisted living facility last week has been found safe.
Police said Robert Hoopes left the facility at 7932 Dale Court on Sept. 6 and had not returned.
Hoopes has a brain injury and is mentally disabled and can't communicate well, police said.
He was described as 6 feet tall and 170 pounds and has a tattoo of a cross on his chest with "twin lakes" written in the center.
Police said Friday he was safe.
