A San Marco salon was offering free haircuts for kids heading back to school.
Kimberly Clarke, the owner of Kimberly Clarke Salon, has been offering free cuts to students for the last four years.
"We've been so busy that we don't even know what kind of turn out so it's gone really, really well." said Clarke.
Clarke said her inspiration to deliver great hair care at no cost brings a grin and enjoyment of getting pampered.
"I decided to start Cuts for Confidence to make kids feel really good when they go back to school because every child needs to feel awesome," Clarke said.
Clarke makes sure the little girls get flowers in their hair.
"When kids come in, just being able to interact with them socially and have them talk back to you about what grade they are in. or asking them what they want to be when they get older just things like that I think is really important," said Clarke.
Jennifer Easteringling's daughter got a haircut Sunday. She said she can see the effects.
"I think it helps them feel like big kids and older kids it's a transition which is what going to school and a new grade is all about it helps them transition and step up to being an older child," said Easteringling.
