Jax company, National Healing Corp. merge
Merger expected to bring more jobs to River City
Jacksonville's commitment to create more jobs remains strong.
Mayor Alvin Brown announced Wednesday that the world's largest outpatient wound care management company will keep its headquarters in the River City.
Jacksonville's Diversified Clinical Services merged with the National Healing Corporation, which was based in Boca Raton. The company provides wound care management and training.
Brown said the merger has already retained 89 existing jobs and will grow into 145 jobs as the company grows over the next several years.
"As a result of this project, Jacksonville can now boost it is now the hub of wound care management training in the world," Brown said. "I want to thank Gov. (Rick) Scott for his support on this project. He has had a major commitment, and I'm happy to say the governor is keeping his commitment when it comes to Jacksonville."
The new company will increase investments in clinical care, program development and education and training.
Jacksonville will become a global hub that will train hundreds of doctors, nurses and other medical technicians monthly.
