Must be able to work with executive producers, producers and staff to craft and write top-rated newscasts. Candidate must possess strong ad-lib capabilities and be able to work effectively with other talent involved in the newscast. Must also be willing to learn the market quickly and must possess strong reporting skills. Must embrace social-media and contribute daily to station's social media outlets and news-weather websites. Must be flexible to work all shifts. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Minimum two years reporting experience with some anchoring experience preferred. College degree in journalism or communications preferred.

Need strong storyteller with the ability to produce engaging live shots, stand-ups and teases. Morning show reporter turns several stories a day including content for web. You will be responsible for generating stories and setting up interviews. You will also shoot and edit. We need someone who can handle breaking news and turn content quickly. TV MORNING NEWS EXECUTIVE PRODUCER: WJXT is looking for an Executive Producer for morning news. We produce 4.5 hours of news Monday - Friday and two hours of morning news on Saturday and Sunday. We need someone who can manage anchors, producers, reporters, photographers and editors. You will also oversee web and social media content. In addition, you will be involved in daily planning and sweeps projects. We need a strong writer and copy editor. You must also be creative and understand good storytelling and content. This is an overnight shift. You will also be on the weekend on-call manager rotation. Prior EP experience is a plus, but this is also a good move for an excellent line-producer with at least five years of experience. You will also produce newscasts as needed.

We need a journalist who can put together engaging newscasts that incorporate all the bells and whistles. You must be a strong writer who is creative and understands good storytelling. You will work closely with anchors, reporters, photographers, editors, and the assignment desk. You will also be responsible for web and social media content.
This is a producer-driven newsroom and an excellent move for someone looking for that next producing position. Expect to work long hours, weekends and holidays as needed.
