Kingsland Man Faces 11 Child Porn Charges
Published On: Oct 07 2011 03:10:36 PM EDT Updated On: Feb 02 2011 05:05:01 AM ESTA federal grand jury has indicted Angel Luis Rivera, 40, of Kingsland, on 11 charges of sexual exploitation of a minor.
The indictment alleges in 11 separate counts that Rivera persuaded, induced and coerced three juveniles to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing child pornography.
?This defendant has been charged with numerous counts of exploiting children by producing child pornography," United States Attorney Edward J. Tarver said. "Our children deserve protection from those who abuse and prey on them. The U.S. attorney?s office will continue to aggressively prosecute individuals who violate the innocence of our children.?
The indictment of arises out of a joint investigation by Kingsland police and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations agency.
?Multiagency cooperation is exemplified in cases like this where federal and local law enforcement work together and attempt to take dangerous predators off our streets," said Kingsland Police Department Chief Darryl Griffis.
