Armed law enforcement officers will be leaving elementary schools in Pasco County before the two-week winter break.
The Tampa Tribune reports resource officers are assigned to every middle and high school in the county, but not for elementary schools.
Superintendent Kurt Browning says officers won't be permanently assigned to elementary schools. He expects the district to return to normalcy by the end of the week.
