A 20-year-old Putnam County man was convicted Tuesday of first-degree murder in the stabbing death of another man in June 2010.
After a two-day trial, a jury deliberated for less than 30 minutes before finding Evans David Perez Martinez guilty of killing Zenovia King.
Martinez was also convicted of robbery with a deadly weapon.
He faces automatic life in prison.
Martinez fatally stabbed King several times in the neck and upper torso with a knife. King was attacked by Martinez and his co-defendant, Demarkis Phillips, after King resisted being robbed of his cash and cannabis, prosecutors said.
After the robbery, the defendants split King's property, prosecutors said.
