A 58-year-old Jacksonville man was sentenced to life in prison Friday for a sex crime involving a child.

Bruce Middleton was convicted in August on one count of lewd or lascivious molestation on a child younger than 12.

In May 2010, Middleton inappropriately touched an 8-year-old girl. Investigators also later discovered that he inappropriately touched an 11-year-old boy.

Middleton was arrested in Denver, Colo., and brought back to Duval County by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
