Rose was arrested Wednesday afternoon after he was released from a hospital. Police believe he killed 48-year-old Jan Dunn Keller, who disappeared on Monday.

A woman's body was found the next day in a home they shared, but the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said positive identification of the victim has been hindered due to "postmortem mutilation."
Rose, who appeared to be on heavy medication while in court Thursday, showed little emotion as the judge announced his first-degree murder charges.
Keller lived with Rose and was reported missing by her daughter after she failed to report to work Monday at her Putnam County elementary school.
During the missing persons investigation, deputies learned that Keller could be endangered and forced their way into Rose's home on Tuesday morning. Rose was found in an unconscious, possibly drug-induced state, and was transported to Flagler Hospital.
Suspecting Keller was the victim of foul play, the home was searched. Deputies said a body that could be that of Keller was found in the home's garage.
Rose's ex-wife told Channel 4 she is convinced he killed the woman.
Rose has been arrested twice before for domestic violence and another time for battery.
