JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -

A man indicted on a charge of first-degree murder in the shooting death of a Jacksonville Beach firefighter has been found not competent for prosecution.

Charles Pearce is charged in the killing of Mike McCue in February 2011. He's also charged with attempted murder of his father-in-law.

Pearce has been remanded to the custody of a Department of Children and Famlies-run psychiatric facility for treatment.

He will have a competency review in January.
