Man convicted of pushing girlfriend into cage

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A man who attacked his live-in girlfriend by pushing her into a cage, kicking and choking her was found guilty this week of felony battery.

Prosecutors said Michael Dilda attacked the woman in front of her 4-year-old son in May 2010.

Dilda also has a 2009 domestic battery conviction.

He faces five years in prison when he's sentenced Nov. 19.
