Man dead in Northside shooting at apartment complex

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A man was found dead in a shooting at the Roosevelt Gardens Apartments on the Northside late Tuesday afternoon.

Jacksonville police responded to the complex in the 700 block of Lincoln Court North about 5:30 p.m.

Police said there were reports of a gunshot fired just after 4 p.m. and that a man in his mid-20s was found dead.

Police were interviewing residents of the complex and trying to track down any witnesses. They were also using a helicopter to look for possible suspects.
