An elderly man was hospitalized in life-threatening condition following a crash into several objects late Thursday morning.
Police said the man, whose age and identity were not immediately released, was driving through a Wells Fargo parking lot in the 1600 block of Hubbard Street in Springfield about 11:20 a.m.
They said that according to witnesses, the minivan hit a tree, hit a parked car on Hubbard Street, then struck a house.
Police said the man was unresponsive when witnesses got to him. Police said he could have had a medical emergency that led to the crash.
The man was taken to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center.
He man was alone in the vehicle. It's unclear whether he was wearing a seat belt.
Only the porch of the house was damaged.
