A 58-year-old man was killed in a single-car crash on Interstate 295 early Sunday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said a Chevrolet Impala driven by Ricky King was going north on I-295 past Normandy Boulevard just before 1 a.m. For unknown reasons, the Impala veered off the road and hit the right guardrail, causing it to roll over.
The Impala ended up in a wooded area on its roof and caught fire.
King was not wearing a seat belt. Troopers said blood alcohol content results are pending.
