Deputies in St. Johns County are looking for a man who robbed a Wells Fargo bank Tuesday morning.
Deputies were called to the bank in the 2800 block of County Road 210 West at about 10:40 a.m.
The man displayed a note to bank employees indicating he had a gun and was able to flee the area with an undisclosed amount of money, deputies said.
Witnesses describe the robber as a white man, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, with short, blonde hair. They told detectives the robber was wearing sunglasses and a grey shirt with red writing.
Deputies are investigating to see if an attempted bank robbery in Mandarin in Jacksonville minutes earlier is related to this robbery. [Read full story]
