An unemployed Indiana man was walking to a job interview when he got a little help from a stranger.

Jhaqueil Reagan, who has been caring for his siblings since their mom died two years ago, was walking 10 miles in the snow for a job interview for a minimum wage thrift-store position. He stopped at a diner to ask for directions where he met owner Art Bouvier, who tried to convince him to take the bus, but he explained he had no bus fare. Later, Bouvier was driving when he spotted Reagan still walking in the freezing temperatures and offered him a lift, reports WISHTV.com.

Inspired by Reagan's work ethic, he then offered him a job at his restaurant where the commute would be three miles instead of ten. "You hear too many stories about people that want work, but it's got to be the right work...here's a kid who knows there's work available, and it's hard to get, and it's hard to do, but he'll do it," Bouvier said.
