A man who robbed a couple sitting in a car at a park in November 2010 was sentenced Monday to mandatory life in prison.
Miguel Tirado Jr. was convicted last month on charges of armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
He was armed with a handgun when he robbed the couple in the car at Victory Park on University Club Boulevard of $25 cash.
Tirado is a prison release re-offender. He was convicted on a charge of possession of cocaine in October 2007 and burglary of a dwelling in January 2009. He was released from prison three months before committing the armed robbery.
