JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Police are looking for a man who tried to rob a Publix in Mandarin on Sunday evening.

Police said the man approached an employee of the store at 10500 San Jose Blvd. just after 7:30 p.m., implied that he had a gun and demanded money.

The man fled the store and left the area in a dark four-door SUV before obtaining any money from the grocery store, police said.

The man is described as white, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall, between 160 and 180 pounds, with light-colored eyes, brown and grey hair, and between the ages of 50 and 60. He was wearing a white and blue baseball cap, a blue jacket with a hood, blue jeans and black shoes.
