A man and woman on a motorcycle were left in critical condition after a crash with a car in Bradford County on Sunday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
State troopers said Barry Carlton, 46, of Lawtey, was riding his motorcycle south on County Road 235 passing Northwest 105th Avenue about 7:30 p.m. Christy Goodkind, 43, of Orange Park, was a passenger.
Troopers said a Ford Taurus driven by 71-year-old Juanita Pennington, of Starke, crossed the center line and traveled into the path of the motorcycle.
Carlton and Goodkind were both taken to Shands Hospital in Gainesville. Troopers said Goodkind was wearing a helmet, while Carlton was not.
Pennington and a passenger, 69-year-old Robert Ake, both of Starke, were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Troopers said charges are pending.
